1. Scope of service
AmdMetal offers monthly rentals of dedicated AMD EPYC 7543P servers. Each server is assigned to the customer’s use for the duration of the order and is located in Tokyo, Japan. The service is based on the model, optional components, operating system and billing cycle shown at checkout. Current server status is available in the console.
AmdMetal also offers NVIDIA DGX Spark systems for daily rental. Data is erased when the rental period ends. Details are available in the AmdMetal DGX Spark rental guide.
AmdMetal is responsible for the hardware and network. Customers manage the operating system configuration, business software, access permissions and business data. These terms define account, payment and usage responsibilities; the configuration confirmed in the order takes precedence for the specific service ordered.
2. Accounts
Each person may hold one account. The registered email address is used for account verification, delivery messages and billing notices. It must remain accessible and be managed by the account holder. Account details used for orders and support tickets must be accurate and kept up to date.
Account passwords, verification codes and server credentials must be stored securely. They must not be posted on public pages, in code repositories or anywhere accessible to unauthorised people. Customer-granted system access should be reviewed regularly and revoked when no longer needed.
If unusual account activity, exposed credentials or unauthorised actions are detected, the affected credentials should be changed promptly. A support ticket should identify the affected order and actions. AmdMetal will not ask for account passwords or verification codes in a ticket.
3. Orders and payment
AMD dedicated servers are ordered through the configuration page. Select a memory configuration, additional drives, bandwidth, extra IPv4 addresses, operating system and billing cycle. Before paying, review the amount due for the current cycle, all charges and the order configuration. Example configurations may differ from the options selected.
All orders are settled in US dollars (USD). Available payment methods are those listed on the relevant configuration page before payment is confirmed. Payment is considered complete according to the actual payment status and order record; a browser redirect alone does not confirm a successful transaction.
After payment and provisioning, server connection details are available in the console. Questions about charges, payment status or order configuration should be submitted through a support ticket on the account, with the order number and relevant evidence. Sensitive information unrelated to the issue should be redacted before submitting evidence.
4. Billing
AMD dedicated servers are available with monthly, quarterly, six-month and annual billing cycles, covering 1, 3, 6 and 12 months respectively. None of the four billing cycles includes a discount. There is no setup fee or contract. Amount due = monthly total × number of months; server prices are not recalculated for other billing periods.
The monthly total is the sum of the monthly server price, additional drives, bandwidth upgrades, extra IPv4 addresses and any Windows licence fees. The base configuration includes 1 dedicated IPv4 address. Extra addresses are billed individually per month, with up to 255 additional addresses and a maximum total of 256. Windows licences are billed for the selected billing cycle.
Review each charge before confirming payment. Free operating systems do not incur an OS licence fee. Renewals follow the original billing-cycle terms. Questions about an invoice or charge should be checked against the order record through a support ticket; estimated discounts or unconfirmed amounts are not a basis for settlement.
5. Server specifications
AMD configurations use an AMD EPYC 7543P processor with 32 cores and 64 threads. Two memory configurations are available: 128GB or 256GB DDR4-3200 ECC. The memory configuration cannot be upgraded on an existing server after provisioning. Changing configurations requires a separate order; customers are responsible for workload migration and data synchronisation.
Base storage consists of 2×1TB NVMe drives, each directly attached. There is no hardware RAID, and the drives are not configured as a RAID-1 array. Customers may add 0–2 2TB NVMe drives; each additional drive is also directly attached. Software RAID, ZFS mirroring or another storage solution must be configured separately if mirroring or other redundancy is required.
Bandwidth options are 250 Mbps, 1 Gbps and 2 Gbps, all unmetered. The order reflects the selected option. Drive redundancy is not a substitute for backups. Customers are responsible for backing up business data, retaining the information needed for recovery and verifying that backups can be restored.
6. Operating systems
AMD dedicated servers include 14 free operating systems: AlmaLinux 8, 9 and 10; CentOS Stream 9 and 10; Debian 11, 12 and 13; Ubuntu Server 22.04, 24.04 and 26.04 LTS; FreeBSD 13; and Proxmox VE 8 and 9. Compatibility between the selected operating system and business software should be checked before deployment.
Windows Server licences are billed monthly and are available in Standard and Datacenter editions, with 2019, 2022 and 2025 versions of each. The system language can be set to English, Traditional Chinese or Simplified Chinese. Licence fees are included in the monthly total and billed for the selected cycle.
Customers manage updates, account permissions, firewall settings and application configuration after delivery. Reinstalling an operating system may affect the current system and data on the drives. Back up data before requesting a reinstall, and include the order, target operating system and request details in the support ticket.
7. Access
After payment and provisioning, customers can sign in to the console and find connection details and credentials in the server information. Credentials are not displayed on public pages, and passwords are not sent in plain text by email. Use the details provided in the console; do not assume a username or connection parameter.
Linux, FreeBSD and Proxmox VE servers are accessed over SSH; Windows servers use RDP. If a server has multiple IPv4 addresses, SSH and RDP use the first address. Additional addresses can be configured within the operating system for websites, virtual machines or other services.
After the first connection, review system access permissions, configure the firewall and store administrative information securely. Record the current settings before changing an address or network configuration. If a connection fails, retain the error details for the support ticket and avoid changing several settings at once, which can make the cause harder to identify.
8. Support tickets
Issues involving faults, reboots, reinstalls or billing are handled through support tickets in the console. Include the order number or server ID, a description of the issue, relevant actions and screenshots of any error messages so the request can be matched to the right server or transaction.
For network or login issues, specify whether SSH or RDP is in use, whether the first IPv4 address is being used, and which settings changed before the issue occurred. Screenshots and logs should include relevant error details while redacting passwords, verification codes, keys and unrelated customer data.
For requests such as a reboot or reinstall that may affect workloads, identify the server and the requested action. If console access is unavailable or an account security issue needs to be reported, contact AmdMetal at support@amdmetal.com. Follow-up will be provided by support ticket or email.
9. Acceptable use and abuse handling
The service must not be used to send spam, conduct network attacks, scan networks belonging to others, or store or distribute illegal content. Customers are responsible for managing server accounts, software and publicly accessible services to prevent unauthorised use. Additional IPv4 addresses do not change these restrictions.
If abuse is detected, AmdMetal will suspend the service and notify the customer through a support ticket. Customers must assist with reviewing relevant processes, access logs and configuration, removing the source of abuse and fixing the exploited security issue. Updates will be communicated through the ticket.
Responsibility for issues caused by customer actions, application configuration, data management or events beyond reasonable control will be determined according to their actual cause. AmdMetal is responsible for the hardware and network; customers are responsible for the operating system and data, including backups. Use of the service and dispute resolution are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the platform operator is established. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts in that jurisdiction.
Updates to these terms will be published on this page. Questions about a specific order, invoice or operational responsibility should be submitted to AmdMetal through a support ticket with the relevant order details.
